A case for a third option, Brave's thesis

Up till now, there have been two core worldviews for the creation and consumption of tech – exploitative and ethical. Today, we boldly introduce a third. Redemptive.Technology is all around us and all pervading in its influence. The creators of technology have outsized influence on what technology does. To ensure human flourishing, people must engage technology intentionally and thoughtfully, considering its ethical, moral, and spiritual implications.A redemptive framework is therefore crucial for technology's responsible use and impact on culture. Because of this, a new generation of talents must be equipped with the theory and praxis of redemptive tech.Brave is a faith-driven tech talent accelerator raising generational talents in redemptive software engineering, product design and entrepreneurship.

Building the foundational stock for a new kind of tech workforce in Africa

Besides gaining deeper mastery of technical skills, a Brave talent will be rooted in
Faith-driven and redemptive framework for technology’s conception, development, and use.
A coherent philosophy/school of thought that drives the work he/she does and which is compellingly refreshing that others want to learn and apply the same.
A problem-solving approach that is driven by unusually developed critical and creative thinking skills.
A consciousness of being a thought leader thus well developed in communication both written and oral
An awareness of the sanctity of brethren dwelling together in unity. And the recognition of rootedness in place as an anchor for community transformation.
The typical Brave talent is secure in his identity in Christ, and is assured that they are in the world of tech for such a time as this; they are brave, bold and audacious in the confidence of what God can make out of their lives. They carry on intelligent conversations driven by an intellectual bent to know, a sanctified imagination to dream, and a reverential curiosity to seek out what's hidden from sight. They recognize that technology significantly impacts the quality of life for humanity and are humble to bear the weight of this call to be God's answers in this space. Their minds are liberated from the limitations of locality or dispensation; they are glocal and transgenerational in outlook. Thus, they can draw inspiration from across time and space!
